- Mix well, cover and cook on medium flame for 10 mins. Akhni is ready Note: do not add water to the akhni.
- Now let's get the rice ready.
- Take a deep pot add water and allow it to boil, once boiled add 4 whole green chillies, then add soaked rice.
- Add 1/4th tsp of yellow or saffron food color mix well, then add salt to taste.
- Cook the rice upto 70% then strain it (discard the water).
- Now mix the akhni to 70% boiled rice cover the lid and keep it on dum(medium flame on a dum tawa) for 20 min's.
- Smokin hot platter of biryani is ready to be served.
